A Bit About Me

Whether your goals are aesthetic, performance, or health oriented, I take pride in designing the most effective and enjoyable workouts and counseling programs for my clients. My individualized approach to coaching helps clients maintain consistency and motivation to reach their goals in a timely manner. I aim to provide the right type of training for each person, including accommodating each workout to past injuries and exercise history. I offer personal training, group training, team training, functional training and corporate wellness packages. I also offer health counseling sessions and comprehensive fitness and nutrition combination programs. I specialize in: functional fitness, weight loss, muscle toning, muscular development (hypertrophy), cardiovascular training, strength training, endurance training, athletic conditioning, sport specific training, speed agility and quickness (SAQ), yoga, stress management, and nutrition counseling. What I Do

With my Masters degree in Health and Exercise Science, with emphasis in behavior change and my Bachelors degree in Exercise and Nutrition Science as a Kinesiologist, my passion is designing and coaching the most effective and enjoyable fitness and wellness programs for my clients. I am a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine, a Certified Group Exercise Instructor through the National Exercise Trainers Association and also CPR/AED and First Aid Certified through the American Red Cross. As a certified trainer, I offer a wide range of fitness services and training styles. Choose from a wide array of existing training options or design your own. Personal Fitness Training

Are you ready to change your life for the better? My approach to personal training uses scientific data, personal experience, and client feedback to develop programs that will most effectively create adaptations to reach individual goals. Being creative and dynamic is essential to success as a trainer; I pride myself on being good at thinking on my feet and adapting to client needs and interests. I also use a wide variety of resources and proven methods to broaden my lens and ensure that my programs are scientifically sound and safe.

Group Training

This is a popular trend in the fitness world today. Working out in a small group or with a partner is proven to increase motivation and adherence to exercise and nutrition programs. You do not need to be at the same fitness level to work out together. Grab a couple friends or your significant other and let's get started!

Athlete and Team Training

Are you an athlete? Are you training for something? Are you a coach?This type of training is for you! As athletes, your bodies must be adequately prepared for your activities in addition to having the tools necessary for recovery. With emphasis in injury prevention, strength, movement efficiency, core stability and speed, agility, and quickness, this program will have you and your team game ready in no time!

Just Wow!!! Nicole is a cut above the rest of the trainers I have ever worked out with in past. During my first session with Nicole she did a thorough evaluation of my body, sure she measured, weighed me and all the regular stuff but she really took a long time to study my body, the way I stand, the way I walked, and my overall general body makeup. She asked about my goals and really took the time to understand what I wanted to achieve from our workouts and took to the time to understand me a person. 
Session two and beyond. Sure we started slow but that was so she could validate what she learned in session one and tested me further; what was I really capable of, my weakness and how far could I push myself. Week after week a new work out, and just to be clear these workouts were truly crafted just for me, she showed up prepared with the workout clearly outlined and didn’t make it up as she went along (this is what I experienced in the past with other trainers). Nicole’s knowledge and understanding of human anatomy and neurology is simply unmatched in the industry. I slowly improved my flexibly, strength, and changes in my body became very apparent to me and many others. 
I can't say enough about Nicole. She is a pro and knows exactly what she is doing. I think her passion for fitness and her knowledge of the human body is a true differentiator for my achievement in fitness so far. On a side note but not really she is also the only trainer that I have worked out with that has an actual college degree, a Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology as a Fitness specialist.

After rotator cuff surgery on my shoulder I had a long recovery. But having enjoyed weight training in the past, I wanted to get back into it, especially to strengthen my shoulders. I decided to make the investment to hire a trainer. Nicole turned out to be a real blessing. She is very knowledgeable about physical exercise and training. She took it slowly and tried out various movements, always testing its impact on my weakened shoulders. When things didn’t feel right, she had variations that she went to. Through it all the best part was her positive, encouraging spirit. She was always giving feedback that bolstered me and moved me forward. Her favorite encouragement was “Awesome!” regularly given. I found her work tremendous and can highly recommend her as a trainer.

It has been a year since I started working with Nicole. While the results I achieved in the first six months were phenomenal, I continue to be amazed at the results I am seeing. 
Knowing myself the way I do, I would never have dreamed, a year ago, that I would still be actively pursuing these lifestyle changes. All of this is attributed to Nicole's individualized training sessions and her ability to keep me challenged, engaged and motived, while allowing me to see the results of my efforts. 
The work we have put in has allowed me to achieve numerous quality of life changes. The ankle pain/discomfort that I endured from a prior injury is now nonexistent. I am now able to climb stairs without pain or being out of breath. I am finally enjoying playing with and chasing after the grandkids. And I am much more active on a daily basis. 
Long term benefits include eating a healthier diet and my diabetes is a non-issue. My health continues to improve and I am down 70lbs since beginning this journey.
It has been a long, yet enjoyable year. I no longer dread the training sessions and actually look forward to them, which is saying a lot coming from someone that hadn't been physically active in a number of years.

Nicole Behr has been my private personal trainer since February, 2018. As a
moderately consistent work out person, I needed a boost in my output & quite frankly had grown tired of classes & working out on my own. Nicole is very motivating! We do different workouts weekly which are progressive, but never the same. She pushes me each week using positive reinforcement with challenging strength, balance & endurance exercises. I feel more confident particularly in my form & function due to her instruction. We have worked together to progress through limited movement & mobility in certain body parts. Nicole has trained me to be more aware of how my body feels during exercise. She is very knowledgable with making adjustments to maximize the workout without making me feel like I’m modifying to a lower level. She is always aware of what I’m doing during the
exercise & makes changes if needed to get the best results. I’m constantly amazed by her creativity in our workout sessions. Nicole uses many types of weights, balls, steps, & equipment in unique ways. The timing is always spot on for our session. I don’t feel like I could look online or use a downloaded routine and make it flow into a fresh and original workout like she arranges. I would highly recommend Nicole!
